What to prepare
Bring a brand name, audience description, tagline and any approved story or voice guidance. Prepare a product image as JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB. A transparent PNG is useful when you want the product to sit directly on the layout color. For logos, use a primary version and an optional reversed version, each up to 5 MB in PNG, JPG or WebP format. SVG upload is not supported in this release.
There is no payment for the three watermarked previews. The public studio does not require an account. Customer project requests are not open. Work stays in the active page until you save a project file. Read the data handling and product scope before importing confidential materials.
1. Write the foundation in Brief
Open the brand studio and select Brief. Set the brand name, product category, market and audience. Add the tagline, story, promise, values and tone of voice. Use statements the business can support. Fields left blank remain visibly marked as drafts in the handbook.
2. Define the system in Identity
Choose an initial direction, then refine all four colors: primary, base, secondary and light. Choose display and supporting typefaces from the available system fonts. Upload approved logo artwork if you have it. Without an uploaded logo, the studio uses a typographic wordmark.
The reversed logo is useful for dark surfaces. Review both variants in the preview: the editor preserves supplied artwork rather than creating a new monochrome mark. Typography can render differently on devices where the selected font is unavailable.
3. Place the product in Layout
Upload the product photo. Use scale, horizontal position and vertical position to adjust its framing. These controls apply across the product frames, so inspect the poster and banner as well as the main identity board. Reset composition returns the controls to their default values.
If you see a rectangular background around the product, it is part of the original image. This editor does not remove backgrounds. A larger scale can crop the product at the frame edge; choose the setting by reviewing every application.
4. Shape the handbook in Book
Keep the sections that answer a question for the person receiving the file. The template starts with twelve chapters. Uncheck unnecessary sections, select a chapter to rename it or add an art direction note, and use Move up or Move down to change its position. At least one chapter must remain selected.
A note is useful for a specific instruction, such as which palette role to use for a campaign background. It is not a replacement for testing logo legibility or agreeing a printing specification.
5. Review the Brandbook and Preflight tabs
Open Brandbook on the preview side and inspect every selected page. Preflight shows incomplete foundation fields, stored product dimensions, two palette contrast ratios, the logo delivery mode and remaining font or production checks. It is a review aid rather than a certification of the entire design.
6. Download previews and save your working project
Download three watermarked PNGs from the free-preview panel. Use Save project to keep the editable JSON and your supplied images locally. Preview complete system opens a disabled form showing the planned package scope. It does not transfer your brand details or upload images. The proposed $99 Brand System and $299 Studio Review packages are not open for orders. The free on-screen draft has 12 sections; the separate fictional case books demonstrate a 24-section structure.
Before sending files to a printer or a developer, read the logo file handoff guide. A PDF extension does not establish print readiness, and an SVG that embeds a PNG remains raster artwork.
If the result needs adjustment
- A logo is unclear: provide a higher-resolution source and a suitable reversed variant.
- The product looks small or cropped: revisit Layout and check both portrait and landscape applications.
- A section says DRAFT: complete its corresponding Brief field or exclude that chapter.
- The PDF needs different sections: edit Book, preview the new order and save the working project. Custom PDF delivery is not open.
- You want to continue later: save the project JSON before refreshing or closing the page.
For a concrete reference, inspect the 12-page sample brandbook. It uses a fictional brand and an illustrative product so you can distinguish the editor output from the art-directed concept studies.
